The 5 patch quilt

This is such a simple quilt (my favourite), which of course comes together in a jiffy (also my favourite), and is really elevated by hand quilting it (optional, but another one of my favourites)- so let’s get started!

For the quilt top, you need 5 fabrics,
- 2/3 yard Fabric A
- 2/3 yard Fabric B
- 1/2 yard Fabric C
- 1 yard Fabric D
- 1 yard Fabric E

Cut each of your fabric pieces into the following sizes:

We are then going to sew Fabric A, B and C together, right sides together using 1/4” seam, as follows:

Press your seams open.

And then Fabric D and E together, right sides together using 1/4” seam, as follows:

Press your seams open.

And finally sew these pieces together, right sides together using 1/4” seam:

And your quilt top is done! Baste, quilt and bind as desired- and let me know if you have any questions!

Happy quilting :-)
